Field Analytical Chemistry and Technology Unit (FIACTU)

FIACTU is a research unit situated in the premises of the National Technical University of Athens, that focuses on the use and advancement of on-site chemical analysis. Much of the research work is based on exploring chemical methods and instrumentation on potential environmental, health, natural and man-made disasters management applications. FIACTU efforts stretch beyond analytical sciences applications; at integrating field chemical analysis with ICT large or small scale applications. Power supply, ergonomic and operabiliity considerations are also studied as parts of the research approaches.
